Terry Olson, M.D.

physician-olsonDr. Terry Olson is board certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and is the Medical Director of ENT Specialties, P.C. He completed his medical training at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, graduating with High Distinction. Dr. Olson completed his General Surgery internship and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery residency training at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. He also completed a Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Head and Neck Oncology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

During Dr. Olson's medical training he attained numerous honors, including the Chairman’s Prize for Outstanding Performance in Otolaryngology at UCSD, CWM Poynter Award for Excellence in Anatomy, UNMC Award for Excellence: Gross Anatomy, Living Anatomy, and Embryology, being a part of the American Heart Association Student Research Fellowship, and being a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.

Throughout his training and career, Dr. Olson has practiced medicine with the approach that treatment options backed by evidence-based practice or research can help improve patient outcomes. Dr. Olson has been a part of numerous research projects and co-authored multiple research articles relating to otolaryngology and facial plastic reconstructive surgery. He is also the chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee and oversees the quality improvement program for ENT Specialties, P.C. and Physicians’ Surgical Center.

Dr. Olson maintains a professional membership to the following medical organizations: American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Lancaster Medical Society.

Dr. Olson has been providing highly skilled medical and surgical care to patients of ENT Specialties, P.C. since 1991. He treats all otolaryngologic conditions but has a special interest in head and neck surgery, particularly thyroid disorders and treating patients in need of facial plastic and reconstructive procedures due to cancer and other disorders or injury. In his free time, Dr. Olson enjoys flying, taking care of his horses, traveling, and spending time with his family.
